Description & Application:
Our top quality natural coarse bathstone (Portland) cream/white limestone sand. This sand is a crushed rock product and is not only suited to restoration projects requiring traditional mortars but also finds application for light colour cement mortars being particularly effective with white cements.

Endorsement: This sand is regularly used by manufacturers of cast-stone lintels and window sills to give a Portland / Bathstone appearance.

The sand contains a relatively high percentage of fine particles which can cause shrinkage crack problems if lime mortars are not cured carefully (ie. kept damp until fully cured).

Our Bathstone sand is supplied with a natural moisture content.

Sands are offered with no recommendation as to suitability for purpose. Please utilise our 15kg pack delivery service for sampling prior to bulk ordering. Being natural products mortar sands are susceptible to variation in colour and form.

Logistics:
This product option is supplied in a non returnable bulk bag on a pallet and stretch wrapped for additional protection and security.

Pallets are delivered by national couriers and off-loaded onto a level hard-standing using vehicle tail-lift and pallet truck. Our couriers do not offer a crane (Hiab) off-load facility.

Pallet deliveries by national couriers are not advised for locations with narrow or difficult access. Please advise during checkout or contact our office for advice if you have specific delivery requirements or concerns.

Failed deliveries due to problems with access which as not been pre-notified will be returned to our warehouse and charged for both outward and return delivery,

The immediate product wrapping, pallet stretch wrap and wooden pallet can all be recycled.
