This super fine, bright red/orange, washed sand contains sub rounded spherical grains making it very workable. The strong colour gives mortars a rich warmth, however, this is the result of a high proportion of fines. Traditional lime mortars will require more water to become workable and care must be taken to avoid shrinkage problems.
Sand is supplied with a natural moisture content.
