Coverage: A 1 tonne big bag will cover approxixiamtely 2m² at 300mm depth.

Description and Use: A top quality natural clean and non-staining through-graded quartz sand. The grain size has been specifically formulated to provide structural integrity, whilst providing a fee draining sub-strate suited to long jump pits at international event stadia.

The sand has been river-worn, giving the grains a rounded shape, hence reducing friction on landing.

The light grey colour of this product is a preferred choice of companies televising athletics events and as it provides a suitable foil for graphics.

This sand fully complies with the IAAF specification for sand pits as defined in the 2008 manual. The sand is supplied in a kiln dried condition making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor events. The sand is tolerant over a wide range of moisture contents, however, we recommend the addition of 3% to 5% water ( 30 to 50ltrs per tonne ) to achieve initial workability.
