What is Tropical Beach Sand?

Sand Grain Size: Nominal 0.5-1.0mm in size

Colour & Form:
We take great care to provide accurate images, however, shade variations can occur both with the products themselves and with ambient lighting.

It can also be difficult to adequately describe and visualise grain size, we do, however, show products in context with additional images.

Environmental Note: The sand is sourced from a quarried European deposit subject to strict planning and environmental controls. Whilst the sand is described as "tropical or coral beach" no materials have been removed from coastal environments to create our Tropical Beach Sand.

A white, low reflectance sand with just a sprinkling of natural colour. Providing an authentic coral beach look and feel without guilt that the product has been sourced from a live marine environment. The perfect sand for tropical isle film assignments and product photo shoots where the sand will show discernible particles in macro shots. The product is clean, free from dust and pleasant to handle.

This sand has been kiln dried and importantly it is clean and doesn't stain clothes or other props.
Being naturally colourfast the sand can be used under water. Some slight initial clouding may occur but this will rapidly drop out of suspension.

Merchandise Production:
This sand can be used for layering in glass ware and for use with candles.

The sand is dust free and hence finds specific application for tropical beach themed window dressing, events and promotions,

Whilst the sand is free draining if it becomes contaminated or dirty it can be washed with clean water.

Colourfast and can be adhered to creations using conventional glues including hot glue.

Aquariums: This sand is suitable for tropical marine and cold water aquaria. Being a calcium carbonate product the sand will act as a pH buffer.

This product option is supplied packed in safe and easy to handle weatherproof packs stacked on a wooden pallet. Packs are stretch wrapped onto the pallet for added protection and security.

Pallets are delivered by national couriers and off-loaded onto a level hard-standing using vehicle tail-lift and pallet truck. Our couriers do not offer a crane (Hiab) off-load facility.

Pallet deliveries by national couriers are not advised for locations with narrow or difficult access. Please advise during checkout or contact our office for advice if you have specific delivery requirements or concerns.

Failed deliveries due to problems with access which as not been pre-notified will be returned to our warehouse and charged for both outward and return delivery,

The immediate product wrapping, pallet stretch wrap and wooden pallet can all be recycled.
