Description & Application: Steel punchings (perforations) suitable for the manufacture of counter-weight concrete and setting into resin for marine ballast.

Being small in size these punchins are especially useful for use as counterweights in crafts.

Heavyweight steel aggregate behaves in a similar way to "normal aggregates when used in a concrete mix. However, whilst similar water/cement ratios should be used, the weight of cement in a mix will be significantly reduced due to the density of the aggregate.
"Normal" concretes using stone aggregates may be assumed to have a cured density in the order of 2.4 tonnes per m³ a well compacted steel aggregate concrete is likely to achieve a density approximately double this figure.
